Payoneer for reward sites: opening an account, fees, withdrawing and scams

Many reward sites pay through Payoneer. This guide explains how to open and verify an account, what it costs to receive and withdraw money, and how to recognise Payoneer scams. The Payoneer facts here come from Payoneer's own pricing and help pages, as of October 2026; Payoneer can change them, so check its current pages before you rely on a number.

What Payoneer is, and why reward sites use it

Payoneer is a payments company that holds balances for people and businesses in many countries, in US dollars and other currencies. Many reward sites, survey panels and freelance platforms pay through it because one Payoneer account can send money to another across borders in a few hours or less, without a bank transfer.

Payoneer is not a reward site and does not pay you for anything itself. It only carries money that someone else sends you.

Opening an account

You must be 18 or older. Payoneer follows US sanctions rules (OFAC), so residents of some countries cannot use it. You can sign up as an individual, giving your country of residence.

Use your real details. Payoneer says your first and last name and ID number should match your government-issued ID, and it asks for documents to verify you: an ID such as a passport, and sometimes a proof of address that shows your name, the exact address on your Payoneer account and a recent date. If the details cannot be verified or do not match your documents, Payoneer says it cannot keep the account active.

Payoneer verifies your details before it approves the account, so it is not instant. Open one account only: Payoneer says that if you already have an approved account, or an earlier application you did not finish, it cannot keep both accounts active.

Receiving a payment from a reward site

A site that pays Payoneer to Payoneer usually asks for the email address of your Payoneer account. Give the address you actually signed up with, and check it twice: a payment sent to the wrong address goes to someone else.

On Payoneer's pricing page, receiving a payment from another customer's Payoneer balance is free for the person receiving it; the sender pays the fee. Payoneer says such a payment usually arrives within two hours, and in rare cases can take up to two business days.

A site can only pay you this way if its own Payoneer account is allowed to pay other customers. Payoneer requires a sender to have received at least US$500 in payments from outside Payoneer first. If a site says it pays by Payoneer but has never paid anyone, ask when its first payout went out.

The annual fee: check it before you start

In most countries Payoneer charges an annual account fee of US$29.95 if the account receives less than US$6,000 in payments in 12 consecutive months (Payoneer's pricing page, last updated 1 January 2026). Most people who earn from reward sites receive far less than US$6,000 a year, so they should expect this fee.

Compare it with what you expect to earn. If a reward site is your only use for Payoneer and you earn a few dollars a month, the fee can take a large part of it, or even more than you earn. An account you already use for freelance work or other income is a different case.

Moving the money to your bank

You can withdraw a Payoneer balance to a bank account in your own name; Payoneer says the account holder name must match the name on your Payoneer account. For some countries the pricing page lists a flat fee of US$1.50 for a same-country withdrawal in local currency. Elsewhere it lists 1.2% to 4%, and says that in some countries a minimum fee of up to US$20 may apply. The same 1.2% to 4% range is listed when the money is converted to another currency on the way.

Fees differ by country and change from time to time. Before you withdraw, open the fees page inside your own Payoneer account: it shows the exact fee and rate for your country. Withdrawing a larger amount less often usually loses less to minimum fees.

Payoneer scams and phishing

Payoneer says its only official domain is payoneer.com, that its emails come from an @payoneer.com address, and that the sign-in page must be on myaccount.payoneer.com. It says it will never ask for your password or card number by email or text, and that it does not send an extra verification code unless you asked for one, so a code you did not ask for is a warning sign.

Common tricks: an email or message saying a payment is "on hold" until you pay a fee or "verify" your account through a link; someone who offers to receive or withdraw money for you through their Payoneer account; a stranger who asks you to send money on from your account. Do not click such links: type payoneer.com yourself, or open the app. Never share your password or codes, never let someone else use your account, and never forward money for a stranger.

Where Valyxtra stands

Valyxtra opened in October 2026. Its partner networks are two survey walls, CPX Research and RapidoReach, and three offerwalls of advertiser offers, Offerwall.GG, GemiAd and Lootably; other networks are still reviewing our applications. Rewards from Offerwall.GG, GemiAd and Lootably are held for 30 days, and rewards from RapidoReach for 60 days, not 72 hours, until that network has paid us for the first time. We have not paid any user yet, and the first withdrawals may have to wait: Payoneer lets an account pay other Payoneer customers only after it has received US$500 in payments from outside Payoneer, and we do not yet know whether ours has.

Withdrawals go to Payoneer only, in US dollars: you enter the email address of a Payoneer account in your own name and confirm that it is yours. We do not pay to banks or mobile wallets, and Payoneer's own fees, including its annual fee, are Payoneer's, not ours. A new reward is held for at least 72 hours after the network reports it, the minimum withdrawal is US$10, and a person reviews every withdrawal before it is paid. We never ask for your Payoneer password or codes. See How it works.
